By Maritza’s first opened its doors as an alterations and custom seamstress design business named Maritza’s Boutique in September 2000. It was born from a leap of faith in a small space inside a cell phone store in Queens, NY. It quickly earned a loyal following thanks to its exceptional quality, custom designs, and warm, personalized service.

As demand grew, the boutique moved to a larger location just blocks away, making room for more sewing machines and a spacious cutting table. After September 11, 2001, Maritza relocated to Perth Amboy, New Jersey, where she rebuilt her dream in a welcoming community. Over the years, a small seamstress boutique evolved into a two-story showroom and workshop serving families across New Jersey and beyond.

Today, Maritza’s original vision has blossomed into Weddings by Maritza's and By Maritza’s—two specialized brands dedicated to life’s most meaningful celebrations:

• By Maritza’s – Full-service quinceañera and Sweet 16 planning, floral design, event décor, and day-of coordination, plus a boutique offering quinceañera dress rentals and sales, tuxedos, and accessories to create unforgettable celebrations.
